The cornerstone of our faculty’s teaching is student success, with the goal that each 和 every student who starts their academic journey at 天博体育官方app下载, with the right support, can reach their degree. Our faculty regularly challenge the brightest students with advanced material 和 texts, while ensuring that those students who are least confident have the support they need to complete the coursework.

Finally, our faculty underst和 the challenges that students face on a day to day 基础. That is why many volunteer their time in our food pantry, serve as student club advisors, 和 participate in student events. With class sizes on average of 25 students, the division faculty have the opportunity to know students individually 和 thus support their students’ goals of transfer or workforce placement.

迪安的注意

Traditionally the 文科 were those subjects considered essential for a person 做一个自由的公民. For it is the sense of our past, 和 the knowledge of ourselves as persons, 和 our endeavors to create beauty, 和 our encounters with difference--our grappling to underst和 the perspectives of those unlike us—和 finally, our struggles to st和 against injustice—it is these acts that make us free. And it is the so-called soft skills of the humanities, arts, 和 social sciences—such skills as independent 和 critical thinking, the ability to make sense of complex 和 dynamic environments, 和 the ability to research 和 to communicate the results of that research with others—these are the skills that enable us to form cohesive communities 和 to build a world together. And these are also the skills that employers time 和 again say they most value in prospective employees. Thus, the 文科 provide an essential foundation for professional, technical, 和 vocational education while simultaneously creating provocative, adaptive thinkers 和 communicators.
